The Foundation was set up in 2000 when Jorio Vivarelli and his wife Giannetta donated the art works and Villa Stonorov to the city of Pistoia. The statutes of Foundation aim to preserve, protect and promote the work and the artistic-cultural patrimony of the artist. It promotes and sponsors exhibitions, publications and cultural initiatives, study and research capable of enhancing the work of Jorio Vivarelli and the artistic culture of the city of Pistoia. Surrounded by large grounds, the villa possesses three exhibition rooms, a smaller multifunctional room, a didactic laboratory and a library that can be consulted on prior reservation. Guided tours are possible on prior reservation.
